How it is made
Open Index shows the figures as NHS England Organisation Data Service, Public Health Scotland and Ordnance Survey publish them, for the areas they were published for: map points.
Counts for larger areas are added up from map points.
Before you use it
- Each practice is placed at its postcode point, which can be a short walk from the front door.
- Branch surgeries are not shown. A practice with several sites appears once, at its main address.
- Registered patients are shown for Scotland only. NHS England and NHS Wales publish them separately.
